Shunming Zhang

Professor of Economics at Xiamen University

Shunming Zhang is a Yanan Wang Specially-Appointed Professor of Economics at Xiamen University. He obtained his B.Sc. degree of Mathematics from Central China Normal University (1988), and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees of Mathematical Economics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (1993 and 1996). He became an Assistant and Associate Professor of finance in Tsinghua University (P.R. China) in 1996 and 1998, and from 2000 he visited the University of Western Ontario (UWO, Canada) and Victoria University of Wellington (VUW, New Zealand), then he went back to China. He is now a Professor of Economics and Finance in Xiamen University. His research interests include Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Applied General Equilibrium Theory, Economic Theory and Economic Policy, Modern Financial Decision-Making Theory, International Trade, and Development Economics. He published his papers in international peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Finance, Economics Letters, Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Journal of Development Economics, Economic Theory, Economic Modeling.
