Patrick Sevestre

Professor of Economics at Aix-marseille University

Patrick Sevestre is Professor of Economics at Aix-Marseille Université, France since 2014. He previously held positions of Assistant Professor at Université Paris-Est Créteil (1984-1989 and 1991-1992), Professor at ENSAE and Research Economist at INSEE (1989-1991), Professor at Université d’Evry-Val d’Essonne (1992-1994), Université Paris-Est Créteil (1994-2005) and Université Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne (2005-2009). Between 2009 and 2014, he has been a Research Economist at Banque de France, the French central bank, where he had been previously appointed as a consultant since 1994. His research essentially aims at studying firms’ behaviors at the microeconomic level. His current interest focuses on firms’ financing, pricing decisions, and innovation behaviour. He has published papers in the Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, Journal of Econometrics,  Journal of Banking and Finance, Applied Economics among others and has authored a book on The Econometrics of Panel Data (in French). He is also a member of the editorial board of several French journals.
