Mitali Das is a Deputy Division Chief in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department of the IMF where she supervises the operation and development of the External Balance Assessment (EBA) lite work. Previously, she was Co-Chair of the IMF's External Sector Report. Prior to joining the IMF, Mitali was Associate Professor of Economics at Columbia University and the University of California at Davis. She received her Ph.D in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
