He was a postdoc at the MIT Media Lab, in the Scalable Cooperation group. He obtained a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego in 2015. Before that, he got a Laurea Specialistica degree from the University of Padova, Italy.
His research interest is at the intersection of computer and social sciences. He studies social networks, computational social science, models of human behavior and of populations. He investigates these topics using data analysis, algorithmic modeling, game theory, and lab experiments.
