Giampaolo Lecce is currently a an Assistant Professor at at the Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche of the University of Bergamo and Research Affiliate at CEPR. Previously, he has joined the University of Groningen, the Center for Economic History at Northwestern University, the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi and the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics at Yale University. He earned his PhD in Economics at Università Bocconi. He specialises in political economy and economic history. His recent research explores the long-run effects of culture and institutions on economic performance and socio-political outcomes.
