Call for Papers

Submission Deadline: 6pm (GMT) Friday, 1 September 2023

The seventh CEPR Annual Meeting of the International Macroeconomics Programme (IMF) will take place 26-27 October 2023 and will be hosted by the Bank of England. We plan to hold the workshop in person.

We invite submissions on the following topics: 

  • International macroeconomics and stabilisation policy

  • New developments in the international monetary system

  • Global drivers of inflation and policy trade-offs

  • Exchange rates, policy regimes, and currency unions

  • Trade, protectionism, and macroeconomic dynamics

  • Currency and international financial markets

  • Capital flows, risk taking, and financial fragility

  • Effects of capital flow management tools

  • Climate change and international finance linkages

Keynotes:
Linda Goldberg (Federal Reserve Bank of New York and CEPR), Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas (IMF, UC Berkley and CEPR) and Jaume Ventura (CREI, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona School of Economics and CEPR)

Funding:
The sponsoring institutions can cover accommodation and travel according to the CEPR guidelines for presenters and discussants.

However, there is limited travel and accommodation funding available, and we would like to facilitate the participation of young researchers. We thus encourage more senior participants to use their own grants to cover costs. Please indicate in your reply whether you will be able to cover your own costs, or whether you will require funding to attend.

How to apply:
The application deadline is 6pm (GMT) Friday, 1 September 2023. Only the authors of accepted papers will be informed by September 15, 2023.

Authors who are CEPR affiliated or already have a CEPR profile can upload their submission by:

  1. Going to https://hub.cepr.org/ and logging in

  2. After you have logged in, go to https://hub.cepr.org/event/3816 

  3. Click on "Step 1: Apply" OR If you have been pre-registered as you are connected to a relevant programme area click on "Change registration details"

  4. Under "Apply to Attend" click "Yes"

  5. Tick the boxes that apply to you 

  6. Tick "Would you like to submit a paper?", upload your paper and supply the requested information

  7. Click "Submit form" to make the submission.

Authors who are not CEPR affiliated or do not have a CEPR profile can:

  1. Creating a new profile here https://hub.cepr.org/user/register

  2. Going to https://hub.cepr.org/ and logging in

  3. After you have logged in, go to https://hub.cepr.org/event/3816

  4. Click on "Step 1: Apply"

  5. Under "Apply to Attend" click "Yes"

  6. Tick the boxes that apply to you 

  7. Tick "Would you like to submit a paper?", upload your paper and supply the requested information

  8. Click "Submit form" to make the submission.
