We are writing to invite you to submit a paper or to express your interest in attending a CEPR conference on “The Economics of Longevity and Ageing”, to be held in London from 27 to 29th June 2024. The conference is organised by Andrew J Scott (London Business School and CEPR) and David Bloom (Harvard University and CEPR) and will be held at London Business School. We welcome papers on a broad range of topics related to longevity and ageing, both micro and macro, theoretical and applied. Keynotes will be delivered by Nicola Bianchi (Kellogg, Northwestern), Karen Eggleston (Stanford),  Nicole Maestas (Harvard), Kevin Murphy (Chicago) and Robert Topel (Chicago). There is potential for papers to be published in a special issue of the Journal of the Economics of Ageing.

At this stage we are asking you to simply confirm your interest in attending the meeting and whether you wish to present a paper. If you are interested in presenting then please provide either a paper or an abstract to guide the organisers. We are especially keen to support junior researchers.

The local organisers will offer funding for travel and accommodation although if you have alternative research travel funding at your disposal, we encourage you to indicate this on your reply form. Where funding is provided for travel costs, this will be in accordance with the CEPR Travel Guidelines. We recommend that you hold off making any travel arrangements until further information has been given to you.

Kindly note that it will not be possible to accept all applications to attend the event. At this stage, we would thus like you to simply confirm your interest in attending the meeting and indicate whether or not you wish to present a paper.
