How to Submit a Discussion Paper to CEPR

A. How Should You Send Your Discussion Paper To Us?

  1. Online
We prefer to receive your Discussion Paper submissions online. Please go to www.cepr.org/yourprofile and let our web-based interface guide you through the simple process. You need to enter full submission details in the online forms and upload the files that make up your complete paper. You will then receive an email from CEPR confirming that the submission has arrived safely.
  2. By Email
We are also happy to receive your Discussion Paper submissions via email. Please attach all relevant files to an email message and send to dpsubs@cepr.org. The production process is made easier if all component files are attached to one message (but please save the 'body' of your paper separately to the 'prelims') and if the 'Subject' of your email message contains the names of all the authors and the month and year of submission (e.g. Subject: Patrick Legros / Andrew Newman (September 2000)).

B. What Do We Need From You?

Your paper has three component parts and the production process cannot begin until we have all of these:

  1. Submission Form
It is essential that we receive a complete submission form with each DP you send to us. Microsoft Word and PDF versions of the Submission Form can be found at www.cepr.org/community. There are two ways to send your Submission Form to us (listed in order of preference):
i). As a Microsoft Word document attached to your email message.
ii). If you are unable to view Microsoft Word files then the necessary information from the Submission Form should be pasted into the body of your email message.
  2. Prelims
We require the following documents for the 'prelims' of your paper, These can be submitted as Word, Scientific Word or PDF files.
i). An Abstract 150-200 words in length (similar to those prepared for the Journal of Economic Literature)
ii). Full funding, and other, acknowledgements
iii). Lists of relevant JEL classification numbers and Keywords
iv). Full author contact details (postal address(es), email address(es), telephone and fax number(s)).
  3. 'Body' of the Discussion Paper
This should be submitted as in one of the following formats (listed in order of preference). If you can submit your DP in PDF, we will be able to process it more quickly.
    i). PDF file
ii). Original file format (Word, Scientific Word, Excel).

PLEASE NOTE:
We cannot accept material that has been scanned as this creates files that are too large to download in a reasonable time. Please send us graphs/tables in original file format rather than scanning. If you have any difficulties in completing this process or have any further queries, please contact Inga Benner (ibenner@cepr.org) .

This project is financed by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme.
