I undertook my graduate studies in Political and Social Sciences at
the University of Rome, Roma 3 with a dissertation on the economic
effects of brain drain. Then, I moved to the Department of Economics
and Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where Professor Faini
was successfully doing research on that topic. I have been there since
2004, first as MA student in Development Economics and International
Cooperation and subsequently as Doctoral student in Finance. Since
2005, I have been a PhD student there. My research interests are
international migration and its relationship with the so called
finance for development issue through remittances.
From September 2007, I have joined the IRES at the Universitè
Catholiquè de Louvain where I am going to work on both the brain drain
and the propensity of the skilled migrants to remit."
