The TOM Research Training Network is a network that will highlight the crucial contribution that foreign
migrants make to the social and economic linkages between countries. Using an interdisciplinary and
intersectorial approach it will focus on the enduring ties that migrants' communities maintain with their
home country, even as they deepen their integration in the host country. It will also highlight the role
of migrants' networks in sustaining ties with the home country and fostering integration in the host
country.
