Peter Koudijs

Peter Koudijs studied economics and history at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. In 2005 he graduated with Honours on his Master's thesis: Shadows of Gold: currency crises during the Classical Gold Standard, 1880-1913, which was supervised by Jan Luiten van Zanden and Harry Garretsen. In the academic year 2005-2006 he did another Master in Economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona which he also finished with Honours. In 2006 he has started his PhD in Barcelona under the guidance of Hans-Joachim Voth.


Peter Koudijs' interests lie in the field of international economics and financial history. At the moment he is working on Dutch financial markets in the 18th century.
