Claudia Rei has taken her BA in Economics at the Technical University of Lisbon, her
MA at New York University, and is expected to get her PhD in 2008 from Boston University
where she has taught at the undergraduate level. Her research is in the field of Economic
History, with special focus on the Economics of Organization, and its impact on long run
