Chris Colvin

Chris Colvin is a PhD student in the Economic History Department at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

His research interests lie in the field of industrial organisation and financial history.

Under the supervision of Gerben Bakker and Max-Stephan Schulze, Chris is currently researching the causes and consequences of the Dutch financial crisis of the early 1920s. This thesis builds on earlier work that he carried out for his MSc dissertation, for which he was awarded a prize by the LSE in 2006.

Chris completed his undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Bristol in 2005. He has also worked as an economist for the Office of Fair Trading, the UK’s competition and consumer authority.
