This is the first meeting of the Globalisation, Investment and Services Trade project.
The goal of the conference is to contribute to the critical issue posed to regulation
authorities and policy makers by increasing internationalization of supply of services,
both "real" and financial.
Does the internationalization of services and FDI call for
an integrated regulation at European level?
We aim to bring together scholars and
especially young researchers from universities, research institutions,
and international organisations to create fruitful dialogue, share the latest
findings, and stimulate further research.
Papers will come from various research disciplines, and can focus on empirical,
theoretical and policy-oriented topics. These include, but are not limited to:
- Internationalization of services and competition in Europe
- International trade flows, foreign direct investment (FDI) and services
- Cross-country banking, competition and regulation
- Effects of financial services on growth
The Globalization, Investment and Services Trade (GIST) Marie Curie Initial Training
Networks (ITN) is funded under the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme,
Contract no. FP7-PEOPLE-ITN-2008-211429.
