The HI-POD workshop on "Reconstructing the National Income of Europe Before 1850: Estimates and Implications for Long Run Growth and Development" will take place at the University of Warwick in Venice from 15-16 April 2009.

The principal aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on the reconstruction of national income before the mid-nineteenth century in individual European countries, so that the work can be consolidated into a more pan-European framework to shed new light on the long run economic development of the continent.

The HI-POD Collaborative Project is funded by the European Commission's Framework Programme for Research FP7. Grant agreement no. 225343.
