CEPR
Data
Many
of our Discussion Papers are empirically based. We are keen to encourage
empirical analysis, particular that which involves cross-country
comparisons based on European data. We encourage the authors of all CEPR
Discussion Papers to make their data available to other researchers, and
in particular to inform us whether the data they have used are available
on-line. In many cases they are, and we record the url where the data
are located in our Discussion Paper database. This information is displayed
on our website whenever you search our Discussion Papers: see, for
example, No. 1947.
For
individual Discussion Papers it is thus easy to see whether the data has
been made available on-line. For the convenience of students and other
researchers, we have collected all these references to on-line data in
the Data section of our website. The
data sets listed here are
mainly those used in the Centre’s Discussion Paper Series.
Each are available on line and
can be used with the appropriate acknowledgement. Data sets are zipped and are generally saved in ASCII,
Excel or STATA format. The
Data section of the website also includes selected references to other
data sets, often constructed by CEPR Fellows and Affiliates. These data
sets have been selected on the basis of their likely interest to the
research community and their relevance to the Centre's own research
programmes.
