Corporate Membership

CEPR has extended its membership programme to companies with an interest in Europe and its interactions with the international economy. Our network of corporate members plays a vital role in a partnership of the research community, the policy community and the private sector. This gives our corporate members a deeper, more informed input into their strategic planning and decision-making.

The Centre offers three levels of membership that allow each company with an interest in European policy issues to find the level of involvement with CEPR which best suits its business needs, at minimal cost. CEPR gives three important advantages to corporate members:

  • access to key economic insights and ideas, including recent Discussion Paper research
  • influence and impact on the policy community
  • involvement in setting the agenda for research

CEPR corporate membership offers your company access to the Centre’s network of nearly 500 researchers. European economics has grown dramatically in the last two decades, and even the best informed corporate economists may be unaware of the world-class research underway in Europe on strategic issues such as competition policy, the location of industry or financial integration. If you wish to analyse a particular issue CEPR can identify the best research and researchers working on this topic. Early access to key research results can yield a company significant competitive advantage. Corporate members receive results of our research prior to publication, as well as the opportunity to participate in the planning and development of new research.

The CEPR Connection:

  • The flexible networking structure that CEPR pioneered allows us to tap into the best research from the best researchers, wherever they are based. Our research is not constrained by the interests and abilities of permanent research staff – we have none. Our intellectual portfolio is highly diversified and continually renewed.
  • We are a (mainly, but not exclusively) European network, spanning Western, Central and Eastern Europe. Growing interdependence means that policy issues can no longer be analysed sensibly at the national level. For fifteen years, CEPR has specialized in identifying and assisting the best researchers throughout Europe. We do this better than anyone else. Why? Because our business depends on it. Yours can exploit our ability to spot outstanding researchers and new ideas – before they are well known.
  • We are prolific and relevant, and we focus on effective communication. In 1997/98 CEPR held twenty-six conferences, thirty workshops and thirty-nine lunchtime meetings. The Centre now holds public discussion meetings in all the major cities and markets in Europe and North America (London, Bonn, Berlin, Frankfurt, Brussels, Washington, New York, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Stockholm, Prague, Rome, Milan, Belfast, Bratislava, Budapest, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Sofia). CEPR’s Lunchtime Meeting series is respected, visible and highly influential. Many of the Centre’s higher level corporate members have taken advantage of this visibility by sponsoring the launch of a CEPR report at a Lunchtime Meeting.

  • Will we bombard you with paper when you become a corporate member? No, but our bi-monthly Forthcoming Events Diary will keep you abreast of all the planned conferences, workshops and public discussion meetings. The key implications of such work for decision-makers will come every two months in European Economic Perspectives, an eight-page newsletter that presents highlights of the Centre’s research in an accessible form. And when you need access to the latest research on a specific topic that concerns your company, our senior staff will be able to provide it quickly.
