Christian Traxler is currently working as a PostDoc Researcher at the Seminar for Economic Policy,
University of Munich. Born 1977 in Austria, he studied Economics at the University of Vienna,
where he developed two main fields of interest: Behavioral Economics and Public Economics.
In October 2002, he started a PhD at the Munich Graduate School of Economics.
In his thesis on 'Tax Evasion, Social Norms and Conditional Cooperation' he incorporated
insights from Behavioral Economics into Public Economic Theory. From November 2004 to May 2005,
Christian visited the CREED (University of Amsterdam) within the ENABLE programme.
He received his PhD from University of Munich in February 2006.
